Statement
"Quarry House" is an idealized portrait of the landscape and buildings the artist inhabits with two other humans. Several animals, one domestic, the rest wild or semi-wild, live on and traverse these 3 acres as well. This image explores their interactions while speaking to the main theme of my work: the interplay of humans with the natural world and the cost we ourselves pay and extract from other beings to maintain a certain way of life
