I give visual form to the relationships I have had with myself and with others over time. Accordingly, my work adheres to a process of finding, altering and combining non-traditional art supplies in efforts to reconstruct meaning. The relationships in my life provide me with comfort and stability on a daily basis, much like the chairs and pillows in my living space. Unlike the artificiality of such objects, however, human connection is subject to strain and rupture. I strive to comprehend the emotional complexity I have felt when faced with organic changes in interpersonal relationships.
